Chip claim

MAR02186. After prime insurance failed to close the chip on my wing screen telling me about access and replacing the whole wing screen, they now calling and telling me that I can take my car to glass g for chip closing but the wing screen will crack and I'll have to pay access of 25%. Other insurance are doing that for free but prime consultants says the rule of chip crack and replacing the whole wing screen applies to prime only. Now this tells me that if I were to be in a big accident my car wasn't gon be covered cz they failing to close chip whereas they deduct every month. I closed the chip on Saturday with money from my own pocket and there was no such as wing screen crack. Your service is too poor guys I'd never recommend anyone to be insured with you. Thanks for nothing

Hello Baby K,

Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

We understand how stressful unexpected windscreen damage can be. At Prime, we are dedicated to providing fair, transparent outcomes and solutions tailored to your needs.
After assessing the damage to your windscreen, we initially recommended a replacement as the safest option. While this approach is costlier for us than a repair, safety remains our priority. However, after further discussions with you, we’ve agreed to your request to repair the chip instead.

Our Market Conduct Team will be in touch to address any remaining concerns and offer further assistance.

At Prime, we’re here to make insurance simple and stress-free, so you can focus on what matters most.

Committed to resolving your concern with care.

Kind regards,
The Prime SA Team
