Cheap is expensive and that is PMD for you.

On the 23rd of August my car was hijacked, at gun point. I immediately informed the relevant authorities regarding the matter and the case was opened. I called PMD and the claim was opened. I explained to the person handling the as to what transpired and all relevant document that was required on my side was submitted with no delay. What I picked up early during the process everything I submit was questioned but I comp**** and resubmit everything. I was told the lead time is 5 to 15 working days. Till to date no final outcome regarding the claim. When I call PMD all I get is cold responses they make you feel like you are the one responsible for the hijacking more than a victim and I have been with the insurer for more than 5 years. After the traumatic experience my life is at the stand still and all I get from them is "We understand". PMD does not care for their clients when you need them the most, poor to no communication and slow lead time. Their agenda is to find all ways not to approve your claim. If you are searching for an insurance I would not recommend PMD after this experience. It's true when they say cheap is expensive and that is PMD for you.

No detailed response as of yet from PMD. I have escalated the matter on my side to their legal department and complaints department. By Wednesday I will file and official complaint to the ombudsman regarding their claim process as this was as a hijacking.

Your records will also confirm that today marks Day 23 of total silence, stalling over irrelevant footage, and ignoring my workplace alibi records which my employer fully verified to your claims manager last week Friday.
Because your team formally refused to honor my 48-hour ultimatum or provide a definitive resolution timeframe, I have officially logged this matter with the National Financial Ombud Scheme (NFO) today. Case Reference Number:
[ld-E743ZOWM]
I will no longer engage with standard client service templates. I await the Ombudsman's formal investigation into Prime's market conduct."

" UPDATE" The national financial Ombud Scheme (NFO) has officially opened an investigation into Prime SA regarding my 24- day hijacking claim delay ( Case ***). Santam Corporate Compliance has also been formally pulled into this file. Instead of resolving the matter, Prime put a low-level agent on the phone today to trap me into verbally rerunning the entire traumatic crime timeline from weeks ago- ignoring the fact that they possess my statement, scene footage, and verified employer night shift logs. I refused their phone interrogation and demanded everything in writing. Prime is now scrambling under regulatory pressure. I am sharing this so the public sees exactly how this administrator stalls and treats hijacking victims.
