Bullying of Customer by PMD

I listened to the recording between myself and PMD, i looked at the reasons that my claim was denied and i feel we as consumers we are just being bul**** because we lack resources to fight this organisations. The reasons are as follows: 1. PMD claims that no floods or rain occurred on said day, yet the weather report says otherwise i addition Boikhutso experiences localised flooding on certain sections of the road... PMD did not bother to look this up. 2. The tracker shows that the vehicle was outside Lichtenburg on the specified times but i make it clear on the call that i am not sure of time in addition i only reported this on Monday as i was not sure if water damage is covered by insurance. 3. Mr Rodney Mdhluli requested myself in telephonic convo recorded that i need to prove to him that the damage was due to water that time is is their work as an insurance , the vehicle was assessed by Audi and RMI approved workshop , the RMI approved workshop i their report noted that damage was due to water and PMD DECLINED IT. 4. Family please assist with resources so one can take on PMD.

I remain committed to a meeting with PMD so i can present my facts in person, one does not have the time to be going up and down fighting PMD. I believe that through this engagement this matter can be laid to rest with ease.

Dear Vusi N

We appreciate the time you have taken to raise your disappointment with us.

At PMD, we take immense pride in paying all valid claims and in ensuring that all our claims are validated in line with transparency and fairness. However, the submission of accurate information is essential to ensure a fair outcome. It is for this reason that we take great care to verify the accuracy of independent evidence we rely on.

Where misleading information is provided during the validation of the claim, we cannot be reasonably expected to approve the claim.

Our Market Conduct Department assures us that they have already been in contact with you and have provided you with comprehensive feedback regarding your queries.

You no doubt remember that unlike many other insurers, with PMD comprehensive cover your basic excess reduces to zero - and it does so within a surprisingly short period of time.

Assuring you of our continued best endeavours on your behalf.

Kind regards,

The PMD Team
