Bad vehicle insurance by PMD

PMD car insurance is very terrible insurance, I join comprehensive cover and I had an accident then they towed the car after they rejected my claim because I was driving 118km in a 60km zone but there are no road signs on that road fine. Since they rejected the claim they want me to pay R6 618.68 for them to release my car, I must pay it in 10days they don’t just say come collect your car if you don’t you will be liable for storage after those certain time but they force me to pay their own storage that was supposed to be paid by them and is their fault to delay to assess the claim

Hello Robin H,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We value all input as it helps us improve and better serve our clients.

At Prime, we take pride in ensuring fair and transparent claim outcomes.

We're surprised by your post as our records show that the accident occurred in an urban area, where the legal speed limit is 60 km/h. Furthermore, you were recently reminded that towing fees will only be covered if your claim is approved.

We are pleased to note that our skilled Market Conduct Team has already provided you with a detailed explanation of the decision.

Why worry about premium hikes? Prime offers fixed premiums for 2 years, giving you one less thing to stress about.

Committed to resolving your concern with care.

Kind regards,
The Prime SA Team
