Bad Service

31st December 2015 i was involved in a hit and run accident on my way to Witpoortjie. I contacted Prime Meridian Direct at 20h40 to notify them of the accident. I was asked a few mandatory questions and i answered to the best of my knowledge. 1st January 2016 i went to Roodepoort police station to report the accident and i was given AR number. i then submitted my claim to PMD and an assessor was assigned to do an assessment on my vehicle. A month passed by without any feedback and on the 15 March 2016 i was contacted by Angie Pietersen to ask me further question regarding my claim and i gave her all the info she needed and i went as far as giving her pictures of the accident scene. 6 April 2016 i called PMD to get an update of my claim and i was told that the person who was dealing with my claim has left the company and Alicia Greyling was assigned to assist me. Alicia asked me question regarding my accident and i honestly gave her answers and forwarded the accident pictures for the 2nd time. i was asked to complete documents to give PMD the authority to pull cellphone records in order to trace my calls made to PMD.
Four months down the line my car is still in my yard and my claim has not been finalized yet PMD is collecting premiums every month.

This is the worse service ever and i regret joining PMD.
Pathetic service indeed!!!!!!

Hello bafana-desbah-mtotoba,
This is a most unusual occurrence indeed and understand your concern.
As we are sure you can appreciate, multiple vehicle accidents, where the Third Party details are most difficult to validate, as in your case where the Third Party fled the scene.
With the absence of a Third Party or an independent witness to validate the circumstances of your loss, additional records are required which can be time consuming to obtain due to external service providers.
Nonetheless, this information is imperative for the protection of all our honest policyholders and we are reassured that your service provider will provide us with requested information as soon as they are able.
Assuring you of our continued best endeavours on your behalf.
Kind regards,
The PMD Team
