Awful claims experience at PMD
On 15 July 2022 my neighbour side swiped my stationary vehicle whilst parking alongside me. I reported the incident immediately. The following week I paid my excess so my vehicle could be repaired. My neighbor who is insured with iWyze, then approved the 3rd party claim in November 2022. I complained in December 2022 as i was unhappy that my excess was not reimbursed. only to be redirected to Consumer Marketing and told to wait 30 to 40 working days for investigation. Why do we pay for insurance when it seems we must still bear the cost of excess? What's the point in saving a few rands on monthly premium only to receive poor service at claims process? *******. Do not use PMD

Thank you for your post.
At PMD we go to great lengths to ensure clients understand their policies and how their cover works.
As you are aware, an excess is a self-insured portion paid by clients on all approved claims. The excess is only paid back to the client where a full recovery all of the repair cost is made – this is industry standard and applies to all insurance claims.
Our Recovery Team has been contact with you to provide you with comprehensive feedback regarding your query.
It will no doubt delight you to learn that with PMD obtaining a personal lines insurance quote is quick and easy and can be done through our user-friendly website at www.prime.co.za
Assuring you of our continued best endeavours on your behalf.
Kind regards,
The PMD Team.
