A bright light in a gloomy place!

I can only utter good things about the customer service I received from the claims technician Raksha Ramrathan during the initial phase of my claim and I wish she could be my single point of contact thorugh this arduous claim procedure, which is darking the tone of this claim.

Being fully aware that she has a reporting stucture to adhere to, it is sad to see how someone of here caliber's efferts are numbed by the redtape further up the chain.

Feedback from her was quick and well presented, but getting the right information ot pass on to me was the biggest issue. Case in point, I lodged the claim on the morning of the 15/12/2016 and I am still waiting for a revised Repair Cost Summary to be processed in order fo rthe repairer to commence with the work! his delay from those out of her control, has lead to further damages being incurred on the vehicle and I am forced to lodge a second claim for the same type of incident! Mountains of paperwork again! Just hope I get Raksha again to minimise the frustration levels.

Clinton Damons

Hello CGDamons,

Your uneasiness is noted and respected.

Client service is extremely important to us and we sincerely appreciate the time you have taken to bring your concern to our attention.

After conducting a thorough review of your interactions with our team members it was noted that whilst there may be a discrepancy in the assessed costs of repairs an independent assessor has been appointed to accurately review the assessment.

Our assessing team have informed us that they are awaiting a date that will suit you best for the inspection.

As soon as the review has been completed and we have been given the report, the repairs to your vehicle will be finalised and you will be back on the road.

Assuring you of our continued best endeavours.

Kind regards,

The PMD Team

It is now 10 days since this post and other than an acknowledgment of receipt of the complaint, I ahve not heard a word from PMD!

I am lead to believe from their most recent actions (or rather lack thereof), they are waiting for me and /or my family to die from the damages they do not want to have repaired until they are done and then hopefully the claim is forgotten, the debit order is missed and they now think they have grounds to reject the claim becasue of non-payment of the premium!

In a market where their competitors are are resolving claims of this nature within days of the incidents, I am at a loss of words to explain why I though this company would give me peace of mind in times likes this. This, after I defended their my with them against Standard Bank who did not want to accept PMD insurance as a fully comprehensive cover against loss! What was I thinking?!

Looks like our replies haev just missed each other! FYI, the inspection was arranged with me for Monday passed, only to fidn out that the inspector was in East London and not Port Elizabeth where I reside!

It is now Friday and no reply was received until I sent a follow message this mornign asking for an update, only to be told the assessing team manager is in a meeting again and that I will hopefully have feedback by hopefully close of business today!

I am not holding my breath!
