21st Century ********

These are ********, i had an accident on 07.07.2016 and a letter of approval of the claim was issued on 02.12.2016 by Prime Meridian Direct, nothing has been paid to date. Back and forth requests of information is their way of making sure that one gives up the claim!!! For a paid up vehicle with a book value of R250 000, their payout is R12 000 excluding the contractual carhire they promised. What a bunch of ********!!! Almost six months to process a claim and even after an approval letter is issued nothing happens!!!!

Hello Sibabalwes,

Client service is extremely important to us and we therefore sincerely appreciate the time you have taken to bring your unease to our attention.

Your Prime Motor CoverGROW policy is designed to contribute towards the cost of either repairing motor vehicle accident damages alternatively to the total loss of your vehicle. The CoverGROW benefits increase by R2,000 every month that you consecutively pay your premium. At the time of your accident you had paid just six premiums and thus the contribution towards your damages is R12, 000.

Unfortunately you did not select our optional Car Hire Extender Benefit when purchasing your policy and it is for this reason that when submitting your claim you did not enjoy cover under this benefit.

Consequently, whilst we are deeply sympathetic to your challenging circumstances, claims are assessed in accordance with the benefits selected.

Our client representation department will contact you to provide you with an update regarding the payment of your claim and to carefully re-explain the benefits of your policy to you.

Kind regards,

The PMD Team
