Appalling service
I've had endless issues with Prime property. I took rental of an apartment in September 2017 and the agent Charmaine noted that there was damp in the kitchen and bathroom which needed to be seen to. She took pictures as well. A month went by and nothing was done. The kitchen cupboards became mouldy because of it and this spread to the stove, hob and left a horrible smell in the kitchen. The bedroom wardrobes started making my clothes mouldy as well due to the damp in the flat. Three lights stopped working, so I had no lights in the bathroom, passage and half the lounge. Jeans, underwear, shoes, suits and jackets are ruined. I threw a few items away and the rest I just packed one side as I realized I will need this to show the agent if she ever comes to acknowledge the issue. I'm keeping the clothes I regularly wear in suitcases. I made numerous complaints to Sunny the agent who took over from Charmaine, who was more concerned about downgrading the TV and couches as they were too much for the rent I was paying in her eyes - something they did not disclose to me when I signed on. She called me on the 13th November to discuss the downgrade in equipment, but when I started talking about the issues in the flat not being sorted yet, she kept speaking over me. At this point I said I no longer want to communicate with her if she has no sense of how to speak to a customer but rather with her manager, who called me the same day, was very apologetic and said that someone would come the weekend. He introduced himself as Bruce. Nobody came. A month and a half passed by and more of my belongings were ruined by mould. The apartment was now becoming unhealthy to reside in. I sent a complaint through your website saying that I will not pay the rent until someone sorts out these issues and it indicated that someone will be in contact. A week later, I sent another complaint through, and again no response other than "someone will be in contact". I then texted Bruce on the 9th Jan 2018 as I had his mobile number and once again, no feedback. The owner of the flat then called me and asked why the rent was late. He was completely unaware of any of these issues once I explained. He then initiated email communication with the agent and I and she came the following weekend to inspect. She was so sympathetic in front of the maintenance man and couldn't stress how bad the living conditions are. She felt so bad that my clothes were all over in order to air out the musky smell, I had to live on take aways every day because the kitchen was unusable and I had to keep my no perishable food stuffs in the lounge. She took numerous pictures of the flat and the previous furnishings. She said someone will be back in the week to sort the kitchen out. That was on the 20th of January. Still nobody has been back to this flat.
Today, I received notice that the owner has switched off the water and sanitation to the flat. I messaged Sunny who said that she will chat to me in the morning. She also said that the problem lies with the building management, so they need to sort me out for the damages to my clothes and utensils which are mouldy. She has no recollection of previous complaints or phonecalls between her and I and said that she will have to speak to her husband for a way forward. I asked what her husband has to do with this matter and she said that her husband is the owner of the flat. So all my complaints were just completely disregarded for months as her husband was not aware until mid Jan when he called me about the rent. She kept messaging and blocking me last night so that my response is not delivered to her.
This is how the agents treat customers? No regard to loss of property, cost implications for a faulty apartment and the impact on your customer's health? Then to play childish games such as blocking and unblocking so only the agent opinion is heard? Now I'm sitting with a flat which has no usable kitchen, damaged personal belongings, three working lights, mould throughout and no running water or sanitation and this is a joke to the agent???? I've been paying 8.5k per month for a ****ty one bedroom apartment and I would expect working facilities!
