Tired of empty promises. I should have listened to my conscience

I am very disappointed by this company. I paid 70% deposit on the 29th of October 2025 for 2 stainless steel gates and steel for the skuurmuur openings. I asked this guy ( Claudius) many times if they can make what I wanted and I sent him photos. I visited their premises, the agreement was to make 1 gate first and invite me to see if it is what I wanted. From December till now he has been making excuses. First it was staff not available, material delayed to be delivered, machine broke ( I asked him to give the job to another company to finish the gates but he didn't). Today it is the end of February, it is 4 full months now since I paid the money. All the voice notes he sent me in January &February are empty promises, saying he is done he is waiting for a chemical to finish polishing the gates and will deliver during the weekend. All the weekends have passed but my gates are not delivered.
