Montessori ****!!!!

The school's operations are very questionable and doggy. I visited the school and I was not satisfied. There are no Montessori related teaching materials. The class setup is far from complying with the Montessori Principles, there is absolutely nothing material wise that is even close to Montessori way of teaching.

The 2 children in the class were colouring and the teacher was busy with her cell phone and seemed very disinterested. The teacher could not even answer the Montessori related questions, she confirmed that she is working alone and she only has a level 4 ECD certificate and no experience of applying the Montessori method.

I am very disappointed and disgusted to say the least. This is a pure misrepresentation of the Montessori principles. Moreover, this is a way of cheating parents in the pretence of being a Montessori. I will certainly take up the mater with the South African Montessori Association.
