NEVER RENT FROM PRETOR

NEVER EVER RENT ANY PROPERTY THROUGH PRETOR

I rented a flat in Lynwood Pretoria - First it took 2 months to be able to make use of the entire premises (Living in one Room only) in which i paid full rent - they gave 1 Week Pro-rata discount for the inconvenience. They renovated and fixed some issues that we pointed out. But may main problem is that when i moved out they withheld my deposit claiming that

1. Light Fitting is broken - high in the roof - lived there for 1 year and never replaced any bulbs and cannot reach that specific fitting even if i wanted to. 2. A bump in the one cubboard door - which was there and is noted on the report and i have photos of it from before i moved in. They withheld the deposit from the previous renters as well for the exact same items. 3. Broken slated window in the main bedroom - this was broken by their contractor who would've come to fix it - they where notified while he was still working onsite before i had use of that room or the entire flat. 4. For Electricity - till today they cannot give me an electricity bill. I know that i did not use R 300 Electricity in a month and was willing to pay it even-though after months of asking i never got a bill.

Its been almost a year since i moved out and they have not refunded my Deposit of R 10 050.

After many emails they simply do not respond.
