Christmas Flowers delivered 6 days late

I ordered a Christmas bouquet online from Prestige Flowers.co.uk for my son who lives in the Isle of Lewis and delivery was to be on Christmas Eve. The flowers were delivered today, 6 days late, by Royal Mail, a sp**** bunch with wilting flowers.

When they had not arrived for Christmas, I contacted Prestige Flowers and have now sent 3 emails requesting a refund. I have had three responses from the company, two of them with the same stock reply, offering to send another bouquet at no extra charge.

This is, of course, suitable - if I had known the flowers were going to be sent in a parcel I would never have ordered them. I wrongly assumed the flowers would be ordered from a local flower shop on the Isle of Lewis - in the past, I have ordered from Interflora who use this practice. I have never heard of flowers being delivered by parcel post. The company seems to have amassed a great number of complaints from customers who have had similar experiences and I would like to warn others to do some research before using online flower suppliers.

Reviewer Update

Following three emails from myself and phone call from my son, Prestige Flowers have now paid full refund.
