Pay me twice and I will be rude to you

<p>On Friday 28 October 2016 (late in the afternoon we shopped at PH K'dorp. When the cashier swiped my father-in-law's card, the payment immediately went through his bank and he received an SMS stating just that. The cashier told him quite abruptly that the payment had not gone through and that he should swipe again. He refused, since the payment had gone through his account. A supervisor was called, but she was just as rude and insisted on his re-swiping. He showed her the bank SMS and refused. Then a manager was called; he was even worse and badmouthed my father-in-law and his bank (ABSA) saying that it was his fault for banking with such a useless bank. He took them to his office where he took down all his details, including his card details and the card CVC code. The manager was not interested in the bank SMS.</p> <p>My dad now has to go to his bank and make sure that no other transaction (but the single payment) is passed...</p> <p>Yes, they are cheap and if you are prepared to more often than not get sub-standard quality, I believe their prices are bargains. But being rude to the point of insult is not on...</p>
