Pres les laybye ******* for cancelation penalty

I did a laybye sale with pres les & put down the required deposit. My financial position changed & decided to cancel. On calling for cancelation I was told aabout the charge 25 % of the total cost of goods. This is very shocking as by law retailers can charge a penalty of not more than 1% of total costs. I am warning anyone out there who is considering entering into the laybye agreement with pres les. My dep was R1200 & they will take R950 so will get close to nothing for a refund. See me no more & the quality of the products is not that good either. I ordered bedding expecting cotton only to get cheap polyester
