Without electricity for more than 24 hours
We purchased prepaid electricity on 9 March around 1 pm. Instead of receiving the recharge number we received an sms which read \Please do not resend your request. There is a problem at your electricity supplier. Your token will be sent to you as soon as the problem is resolved"<br> <br> This has been ongoing since yesterday and we are still without any electricity after having spent approximately R1400!<br> <br> When querying on the internet we are told that the problem has been escalated to the manager!<br> <br> All we need is to be given the recharge voucher. We are sitting with rotting food and the general inability to lead our normal lives!.<br> <br> I went and bought another recharge voucher to day testing the system...got the same sms.<br> <br> """

As explained to you on the phone, a token could not be issued on your meter within minutes as it always did. We then had to contact your main vendor to verify why there are vending issues to your meter. Unfortunately this process of verification takes a lot longer and resulted in the delay in delivering your token.
We received the feedback eventually and your private metering company confirmed that your electricity meter was deactivated, hence the reason we could not issue a token to you.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused by this deactivation of your meter but trust that you now understand the this was out of our control.Prepaid24 will always try to assist with all technical related issues on our clients prepaid meters up to a point that the private metering company have to assist.
I am glad that you have contacted the metering agent who will assist you to replace the meter. Once you have the meter details please send us the details and we will verify and assist you with any future purchase.
