Premier Vacation Homes ******** Travelers

I booked an apartment in Mayfair (#23 Arlington St) for November in London from Premier Vacation Homes UK. They requested a bank transfer by 23 October or I'd Iose the apartment - they said they did not have credit card facilities. I Googled- found an apartment called Arlington House - but their address was 24 Arlington Street. When I put in # 23 - it showed Arlington House again, so I believed it was legitimate. However, after I paid by bank transfer, I tried to call PVH to change our arrival time, and could not get through on their phone, no matter how long I waited. Their website, shows apartments at [URL Removed] - but I was now concerned. I called the Arlington House at 24 and spoke to the Receptionist and he had no knowledge of my booking, and when I asked if there was an apartment across the road at 23 he said, no, only the Ritz Hotel was next door and a pub on the corner. He told me a lot of shady companies were ******** like this, and if they insisted on a bank transfer not a Credit Card, it was because they knew it was harder to get the money back on a bank transfer - while a CC payment could be reversed. This was a very sophisticated ****!
