Premier Hotel - Splendid Inn Pinetown ****med me, and I demand a refund. I will not rest until I get my money back!
I booked this venue for my daughter's Sweet 16 party, which took place on February 15, 2025. When I first inquired about the package, I was assured that it included coffee, tea, juice, and snacks served three times, bottled water for all 30 guests, and a buffet-style lunch—exactly as I had requested.
I paid R11,800, yet they couldn’t even provide something as basic as two loaves of bread for R40 to make the sandwiches they had promised. I had to fight just to get the bottled water that was included in the package. The service was beyond disgraceful!
When the event day arrived, my guests were served one tiny pie per person and tea—nothing else. No juice, no water, and suddenly, I was informed that there would only be one tea serving. I was furious! Where were the sandwiches I was promised? Teenagers don’t drink tea, and the staff knew this! My daughter’s friends refused the tea, leaving just myself, my mother, and my sister to drink it. This level of negligence is unacceptable, especially when we had explicitly discussed this issue with Nelly beforehand.
From the very beginning, my booking was a disaster. The staff were unorganized, and even the chef seemed confused, saying the booking "didn’t look right." When I asked for clarification, he acted as if he understands my concerns, assuring me he would prepare the food I requested. Yet, on the day of the event, only two desserts were served instead of the three I was promised.
I was hoping to use this venue again for my upcoming graduation, but after this humiliating experience, I would never recommend Premier Hotel Pinetown to anyone! I was embarrassed in front of my guests, having promised them juice, soft drinks, and morning snacks—only to find myself begging for things that were already paid for!
The staff had the audacity to say I should have spoken to the manager—a frail old man who appeared for a whole two seconds before disappearing. How was I supposed to know that he was the real ****mer and not the employees?
Premier Hotel, give me my refund for all the services you failed to deliver—tea, coffee, snacks, everything! I paid nearly R12,000, yet I was made to feel like a beggar pleading for basic items like water. This was an outright ****, and I will not let it go until I get my money back!
