DO NOT TRUST VUYI WITH YOUR WEDDING DRESS

I advertised my wedding dress for sale online in July 2016 and received correspondence from Vuyi who was interested in selling my dress on my behalf with 50% of the sale going to her and 50% to me. I signed a contract for 4 months in August 2016 and left my drycleaned dress with her at her premises in Dunkeld. Fast forward to December 2017 and I have a problem. I checked in with Vuyi every couple of months and asked whether we needed to enter into a new agreement as the one which we had expired. I was told it wasn't necessary and that there was definitely interest in my dress - I just had to be patient. In October 2017 I decided I had given her enough time and requested to pick up my dress. She asked me to please wait until month end to see if her client was going to pay the deposit for the dress (which I did). To date I have still not heard from her - her website is now down, I can't reach her on the landline or her cellphone and she doesn't reply to my emails. I am writing this scathing review to warn other ex-brides out there - DO NOT TRUST VUYISWA MOTHLABANE with your dress. She's very interactive at first and comes back to answer any concerns, but after a couple of months of her having your dress you will never hear from her again – and if you do, it’s full of empty promises to wait until the next bridal expo is over and that there is much interest and to hang on a little longer. Even if I do get my dress back, I wonder what condition it would be in. Sad really - I loved that dress (as any bride does). What a shame. I've learnt an expensive lesson.
