PRASA DOESN'T CARE ABOUT ITS FEMALE PATRONS' SAFETY

PRASA does NOT CARE about Human rights or the safety of female citizens.

That seems like a bold statement but after my experience last night at around 8:30 which left me suffering from a PTSD attack.

We were at Durban station yesterday 2nd of October 2021 awaiting our bus destined for Benoni/Johannesburg,when we were informed last minute that our bus was being changed . My first grievance was the fact that the replacement bus issued by Intercity Express had no toilet we were disturbed by that fact but we looked at our options as to where to use the Laverty. The public toilets at Durban station was also faulty, We were subjected to a PITCH black toilet , the only light that was on was the first bar the rest of the toilet was dark and being manned by a male PUN INTENDED,we continued to nauchelantly told me "The men's toilets weren't operationing (least we forget we are in South Africa where Reported ***ual offences increased to 53,293 in 2019/20 from 52,420 in 2018/19. Most of these were cases of ****.

The rate of ***ual offences decreased slightly from 90.9 per 100,000 in 2018/19 to 90.8 in 2019/20) but we are always told to look at the SLIGHT DECREASE ,THIS IS OFFENCE AND DISGUSTING.I guess Prasa doesn't care about the safety of its passangers/ patrons . I had to ask a fellow patron to accompany me when a mob of males walked into the pitch black toilet , anything could have happened at the very moment. I went to enquire with the personal working behind the desk at the EldoCoach office (I Stan corrected as to which offices they operate from because there is no clear demarcation ) ,who blatantly told me they had staff toilets ,so my grievances were null and void to him . I am deeply disappointed and utterly disrespected. Prasa ought to sort this issue out ASAP before we hear of an 'unfortunate' occurrence at their facilities.
