Poor Eyeglass frames from a major Brand
Four years ago I bought a new pair of Glasses from Marelise Bester Optometrist in Paarlusing a PRADA eyeglass Frames. 2.5 years later the the sides of the frame that go around the ears shed the covering on the steel frame for a distance of approx 5 cm. I complained to the optometrist who contacted the PRADA distributors who advised that the frames were only guaranteed for two years. I protested to the distributors, LUXOTTICA, on the basis that in 60 years of wearing glasses I had never had a frame that disintegrated. I was obliged to replace the frame with another PRADA frame as the Optometrist advised that it was the only frame that would take the lenses. Now some three years later the second frame has disintegrated in the same way with the same story. This time I went to EYELINK (Stephen Pulford) where they kindly supp**** a new frame, for considerably less than the PRADA frame. LESSONS learned. Do not us PRADA frames, Do not use an optometrist who uses frames that are questionable. On the other hand I am happy to suggest Stephen Pulford as an excellent and helpful optometrist
