This is what exceptional property management looks like

We recently appointed Professional Property Solutions Provider (PPSP) as the managing agent for our Body Corporate after what had been an extremely challenging period with our previous managing agent.

PPSP made the transition as seamless as possible, considering the nightmare termination of our previous managing agent. Despite the trustees following the appropriate processes (and numerous attempts) to terminate the previous management agreement for negligence, we were faced with an incredibly difficult handover process and did not receive the information and data that would ordinarily be expected when transferring a scheme from one managing agent to another.

PPSP therefore did not have the luxury of simply taking over a clean set of records and continuing where someone else had left off. Chrismie and her team had to help us rebuild and redo the books as our previous managing agent had also botched our financial records.

When PPSP took over, our compliance position was sitting at approximately 48%. In less than a month, the PPSP team helped move us to 93% compliance, as per the PPSP Compliance Health Check Index. But the numbers only tell part of the story.

The team worked tirelessly to help bring our books and administration up to date, address outstanding compliance matters, establish the information they needed despite the difficult handover, and help get our Body Corporate back into good standing.

Throughout what has been an incredibly stressful transition for the trustees, Chrismie and her team have been a genuine pillar of strength. They have been responsive, solution-focused, knowledgeable and, most importantly, willing to step in and help rather than telling us what could not be done.

There were many opportunities during this process for PPSP to say, "We cannot continue until the previous managing agent gives us the information" but they did the opposite. They went above and beyond to help the trustees find solutions to the problems and uncover issues that we did not know were there, in a way that we could mitigate the issues proactively while minimising the impact on the owners. They worked with what was available, helped us reconstruct what was missing, guided the trustees through the compliance requirements and continued moving the scheme forward.
