Professional Provident Society ,I have battled to deal with the lack of info and zero guidance. So expensive!

This so called support for the professional is no support at all, but an organisation that rests on its exclusive nature and laurels. The online portal does not function at all ,not even with their 'assistance',and when it did work in the past, their information was outdated and incomplete. The broker, part of the compulsory premium, does nothing to assist one at all, and does not even return calls, but perhaps this is good as he is ******** of the rules. The online advisors are also ******** of the rules ,and when asking for a vesting form I twice got told that the only way to vest was to cancel policies ,fortunately I can read, and read the small print on the cancellation form. We have been paying for PPS products for over 30 yrs, but they have been steadily falling away at age related rates, leaving now just 3 months of complete sickness benefit, as long as husband continues to work at his profession ,but the premiums have steadily increased despite the reducing benefits. At over seventy years and over thirty years membership we are cross subsidising young members life insurance and sickness benefits The life insurance premium for 2.2 m and the three months complete sickness benefit a year now cost nearly 7 thousand a month in premiums, and they increasing yearly although the benefits are now fixed, or falling away, and this is after over thirty years of paying for these diminishing products. We do have a grand profit share account that has managed to reach 500,000, hopefully, in over thirty years, if we can just negotiate the labyrinth of misinformation and poor access to vest this account. I have found in our experience the PPS to be the most useless ,unhelpful ,********, non transparent company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with, and all because my husband master's degree rendered him exclusive, what a pity being exclusive and not shopping around for decent service.
