Pps short term insurance not cancelled as requested

On the 4 th of December 2020 I called pps short term insurance to cancel my house content and building insurance. We have purchased a new house and on short notice moved as the house registered in our name. I informed the consultant that we want to cancel as we obtained other insurance for the new home. He assured me that it will be cancelled immediately and even that we will be refunded since the premium for December already deducted on the 1st December 2020. He refused to give me a reference nr for the call stating that it will be cancelled. I even received a call mid December to confirm and I repeated that we want to cancel since we already have insurance. Unfortunately pps deducted R3176.07 on the 2nd of January 2021 and did not cancel or evend refund me. I’m extremely disappointed at the service or lack thereof. Pps can contact me to rectify this.
