Left me stranded...shocking service overall

<p>I have been with PPS for over 8 years. Have calculated a total of over R210,000 in premiums I have paid to them in this time. Still reeling at my recent experience with them. i was stranded on a highway in a hot vehicle with my children for two hours. They failed to respond to numerous pleas for a tow. I drove a. overheating car to safety which resulted in massive engine damage. 87 phone calls later and one month later, they finally decide they aren't responsible as the tow company can't determine if the damage was because of a preexisting issue or because they failed to arrive. Unbelievable!!! It's like an ambulance one pays for failing to arrive at an accident scene, resulting in a person dying of cardiac arrest and the ambulance says "we don't know if our failure to arrive caused the death or the fact that he had high colesterol" . The logic there boggles my mind. Not even the decency to take responsibility and apologise for the massive inconvenience caused. Ironically i have a voice recording of one of their agents promising that they will pay and take responsibility two weeks ago.</p> <p> </p> <p>When an insurance company paid to protect you when stranded on the road, drops you so badly in your moment of desperation..... its time to cancel one's policies. You have been warned! </p>
