Bizarre customer treatment for a potential new client

The most bizarre experience from PPS. With no pricing details or policy structures available online, I submitted a comprehensive form with a request for a call back on taking up a new policy.

Someone called and offered me any time at my convenience for a financial advisor to contact me, and verified all my details and clarified what it is I'm interested in.

I proposed a call later that afternoon, which was agreed upon. But I received a call an hour later from someone else entirely, presumably a PA, asking if the financial advisor can instead call tomorrow.

When I rejected this and said I'll look elsewhere, a plan was made - and I received a call at 2pm from PPS Newlands saying: "I was just told to give you a call. What's this in connection with?" Huh?

I requested that we cut to the chase and discuss the policies, and expressed some confusion on why he wasn't briefed that I wish to take out a new policy - to which he said: I sense some hostility here. And something along the lines of: There's no need to be rude.

Huh?!

Eventually the conversation devolved into a disagreement with the advisor interjecting and cutting me off and making some fairly strange and personal allegations about my phone manner, before him saying: "My manager can call you back after 5pm if you like".

Submitting a form - with lots of confidential contact details - and then speaking to three different people none of whom know what the previous or next person is doing, when you're trying to sign up for a new product, is hardly a way to instil any kind of confidence in a product or service intended to offer some kind of assurance.

Yet to hear back, but in the interim can you please clarify why before responding you attempted to bury this review by flagging it as "False" despite there being call logs and recordings to the contrary?

Hi Andrew, Thanks for taking my call earlier today and for alerting us to the incorrect "Flagging". This will be investigated further. Regards Neeven@PPS
