Isithebe Powertrans Automative destroyed my car
On the 18th of May 2024, I phoned Powertrans Automative seeking help as my car was not starting. I needed a diagnose and solution. They sent a tow truck and their diagnose was a damaged starter. I provided a starter and the car was fixed according to the service provider. I paid as per invoice and took the car but on the way I noticed that the steering wheel was skewed, all steering wheel functions including car horn were not working. When I parked at home the parking sensors did not work. The following day, I phoned the service provider to complain and I was advised to bring the car back. They took the car in for about 2 weeks and they asked me to buy and replace a slip ring. Before the slip ring was replaced they told me the car was immovable because the fan was no longer working. My car only had a starter problem but more things have been damaged and they refused to fix them. The owner of the business, known as Shokes was very arrogant telling me that his technicians never make mistakes. They emailed me to come and fe5ch my car itherwise they were going to charge me storage. My car has been off the road since June and I have already paid R35 000 excluding what I paid Powertrans Automotive. I reported the matter to Motor Industry Ombudsman in June, but the case is moving very slowly.
