I placed an order for a CPO device worth R13999 on 07/08 and subsequently received confirmation that it was successful. On 10/08, I received another email that my order was placed on backorder and it will take 7-15 days for the order to be delivered to my address. Since then, I had not heard anything until 13/08 when I received an email that due to COVID and a *******, they have to apply for business rescue and they will refund me, however there was no date for the refund.

I went to their offices at Loftus stadium on Saturday because they have previously stated that they work until 1pm on Saturdays but to my surprise they were closed and the security informed me that they left the premises on Friday, I'm assuming it was after they sent me the email about their ******* (which the security did not know anything about).

I sent them an email to find out how far they are from paying my money back and a representative by the name of Khanyisile responded and informed me that they are waiting for an appointment of a 'nameless' officer to approve the all transactions before any refunds are paid, which did not make any sense. I regret trusting Powerbite with my money. They're just a bunch of ********
