PowerBite is a RIP-OFF
I placed an online order last night and immediately cancelled it with PowerBrite.
They've done nothing yet regarding the order and this morning they inform me that they are going to charge me a 5% Handling Fee which is R1,000.00 how absurd!
What right do they have? I check the T&C's on their FAQs and said nothing about a handling fee. They've now dug out other T&C's where it is noted.
I don't care, this is *******.
Don't order anything from them, they will rip you off

28 Mar 2021, 11:48Hi Tania, as admitted by you you did not read our refunds policy and only an overview of refunds policy on the FAQ page. Our refund policy also states that items that are specially imported can not be refunded. This is also in the CPA. Furthermore payfast charges us if you pay via Credit or Debit card even if we have to refund you. Your order was also placed on the 26th of and not as stated by you as being on the 27th. We thus have no obligation to refund you for this order, and only an obligation to fulfil it.

28 Mar 2021, 21:39I have time stamps of the order placed 26th after 22:00, minutes later I contacted your customer support to advise them to cancel. (The fact that you are only seeing it on the 28th please go bully Hello Peter about that). Tumelo confirmed that the order will be cancelled by email on the 27th.
Forcing me now to take a product, which isn't what we wanted and I advised immediately I had made a mistake.
As per your email to me, due to the fact that I complained, you are going back on your email confirmation that the order will be cancelled just because PowerBite feels I am unfair to complain about a 5% policy hidden somewhere, why isn't is in your FAQs? Do I need to dig through all your pages to find this when on your website FAQs, I have a screenshot it mentions nothing about 5% handling fee.
I stand by my view PowerBite is a RIP-OFF and I now add Bully to that too.

29 Mar 2021, 16:42Hi Tania. You placed an order on the 26th and once you saw you could find this device cheaper locally you chose to cancel it on the 27th. As we have mentioned numerous times, we still get charged even if we refund, hence the processing fee. This is made clear in our refunds policy. It is impossible for us to put every single terms of sale in the FAQs. Our refund policy is displayed as required in the footer of our website. This resulted in your making the ungrounded claims that we are a *******. We consider it unfair to expect us to bare the cost because you have decided to cancel a sale because you found it cheaper elsewhere. If you think we are unfair, please refer this to the ombudsman to resolve.

29 Mar 2021, 16:44As per the CPA we are under no obligation to refund you as this device is specially imported for you and you were informed about this before placing your order. Thus we offered you the refund regarded you carry the cost of the fee charged by the card processing company.

20 Apr 2021, 14:26It's the 15th Business Day since I've been forced to take a product I didn't want and I've received nothing. All I het are stupid automated replies from PowerBite saying they are working around the clock.
With non-delivery and in their own words II need to allow 15 Business Days although we are usually faster", surely I have some right to a refund? It can't be how long is a piece of string when they've taken my full payment already on the 27th of March.
PS I did not count Public Holidays or Saturdays as Business Days
