***** case opened at SAPD for selling a ****** phone

I had excellent service at good prices buying two phones from Powerbite. One in 2017 and 2020. Unfortunately almost 2 years after I bought my Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra from them, my phone was suddenly blacklisted by MTN last month!!!! 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 MTN explained to me "the device was sold to a customer based on ********** documentation supp**** to MTN. The device was issued under a contract which clearly states that the device remains the property of MTN SA until it is fully paid, which it never was."

MTN now recommends me getting a replacement or my money back from the person or company who sold me the phone. Powerbite / TheCellStore closed down last year. I tried all the contact details I could find or the only registered active director, Duncan Matthews, and the business - no reply. Today I went to press ***** charges at the SAPS.

Anyone know how to track down these people? If you were ****med in this or a similar manner by this company, please go lay charges as well. I am sure I am not the only person caught up in this unpleasantness. The more cases come to the attention of the authorities, the more likely and easier it is for the police to investigate and find the culprits.
