false advice - no refund

I went to the sports shop \Pounce"in Claremont in order to buy a swimming cap as this is a requirement to enter Virgin Active's pool upstairs. In the shop I was advised by the shop assistant Geraldine that speedo swimwear is required by Virgin Active and that my board shorts aren't suitable. Based on that advice I bought the speedo swimwear (R520) only to hear from Virgin Active that I could have used my existing board shorts. I then went down again to return the still unused swimwear but the shop assistant refused to refund me and only offered a credit which I am not interested in. Besides this being ********* business practice it is extremely bad service. The shop assistant was not prepared to hand out the owner's phone number to discuss this. I was told that the business cards have run out and the shop owner only can be contacted via email. I received no response to the email address that was given to me."""
