Terrible Service and Communication - Avoid Postnet Stellenbosch!

I am beyond frustrated with the service I received from Postnet Stellenbosch. I entrusted them with sending my police clearance application form to Pretoria for approval on May 7th. I was assured it wouldn’t take longer than a month. However, this turned into an infuriating ordeal.

After a month had passed with no updates, I contacted the courier service they used as a middleman and was told my clearance was still being processed. I waited another two weeks and emailed again, receiving no response. My frustration grew as I needed this clearance urgently for overseas work.

Yesterday, after another email from me, Postnet finally contacted me with this unhelpful message:

"Good Day

Your Police Clearance is at our store. We called on 22 May and there was no answer on the given number.

Kind Regards, Gisela."

I checked my call log and discovered they had not called on the 22nd but rather on the 27th at 10:45 AM—during my work hours. This was the only time they attempted to reach out. No follow-up calls, no emails, no SMS. They had my police clearance the whole time, and I was left stressing and freaking out over something so crucial for my work overseas.

To add insult to injury, when I went into the store to pick it up today, the clerk made a snide joke: "It's been here so long it almost expired." Excuse me? This is no laughing matter. I rolled my eyes and left, but I should have spoken up then. So, I am now.

The lack of communication and follow-up from Postnet Stellenbosch is absolutely unacceptable. They didn’t make any real effort to contact me, leaving me in the dark and causing unnecessary stress. This is utterly unprofessional and unreliable. I strongly advise anyone considering their services to look elsewhere. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare.
