PostNet Chronicles: The Quest for a Box and the Battle for Basic Service!

So, I strutted into PostNet this morning, ready to grab a small box for my parcels—only to be hit with Plot Twist #1: The exact box I wanted? Not for sale. Because apparently, at PostNet, the best-looking boxes are just there for decoration.

Fine, I thought, let me adapt and overcome like a true survivor. I decided to go for padded envelopes instead. Simple, right? WRONG.

First, there’s no queue system. You just walk in and enter The Hunger Games: Customer Edition. May the fastest (or pushiest) person win! I watched two people who came after me get served before I even opened my mouth. When I finally grabbed the employee’s attention, she looked at me like I had personally ruined her morning. No apology, no "Sorry about that," just an annoyed, reluctant "Hello."

Then came Plot Twist #2: Asking about the padded envelopes. Instead of helping, she just pointed somewhere in the distance, like a tour guide for the Lost and Confused. Mind you, I’m vertically challenged. So unless I suddenly grow 20cm in five seconds, I can’t even see what she’s pointing at.

So, I politely (read: aggressively) asked her, "Since you work here, wouldn’t it make sense for you to come this side of the counter and actually show me what you’re talking about?" She sighed like I was asking her to climb Mount Everest.

Then, the grand finale: I asked for the price, and instead of telling me, she kept insisting, "It’s written there." I looked down. The size of the envelope was written there, not the price. At this point, I was questioning my life choices.

Meanwhile, I noticed her colleagues watching me like I had just slapped their best friend. Sorry, ladies, but today, I am not letting bad service win!

Final verdict? PostNet: Where customer service goes to take a nap. Next time, I’ll try another branch and see if they’re any better. Or maybe I’ll just start training to be taller so I can help myself. 🤣
