Frustrating Lack of Assistance and Communication

Extremely frustrating experience with SASSA/Postbank I am extremely frustrated trying to get a new Postbank card for my elderly mother. SASSA cannot answer our questions and keeps referring us to Postbank, while Postbank does not answer calls or respond to emails. My mother still has her old green ID book, issued in 1994. She was told she needs to apply for a new Smart ID because she failed the fingerprint verification for the Postbank card. However, Home Affairs was also unable to successfully capture/verify her fingerprints. She did apply last week Friday for her ID card. We are now being sent between SASSA, Postbank and Home Affairs, with nobody providing a clear solution or alternative verification process. My mother relies on a mobile service and transport is difficult, making repeated trips extremely challenging and financially depleated. An elderly pensioner should not have to go through this much difficulty just to get her Postbank card. We desperately need someone to take responsibility and provide a clear solution. I've enquired numerous times I'd a home visit can arranged since my mother is bedridden. And yet no response to the emails
