Port Shepstone Regional hospital no help
I have been to Port Shepstone Regional hospital last year October with my mom to remove her gallbladder it's almost a year later and still no help at all. We went to Gateway clinic at Port Shepstone Regional hospital and got help from some Doctors and was told to bring my mom back in March to get admitted for the surgery however there is this one Male Doctor at Gateway clinic that attended to my mom in March when she was suppose to get admitted and discharged her without doing the surgery or even reading her file for that matter and even gave her medication that she is allergic to and it is written on her file. I then had to take her back and was helped and given new meds to help for her kidneys as her kidney function dropped low with the meds she was taking and the doctor said she will need to visit the hospital a lot to monitor her meds and sugar and kidneys. Upon the first visit after the new meds we had to go see this same male doctor as all the other doctors were busy and this doctor said we don't need to come back for check ups/monitoring before the surgery and to just come on the 27th August for the surgery and when we went on the 27th August to SOPD the doctor said that they are short staffed and are only doing emergency operations and will be put on a waiting list and was told to collect tablets which the hospital doesn't have. My mother is 72 years old and very weak and in a lot of pain and has lost souch weight as she does not eat cause of the pain and nausea.

Bad service - no service at all
Waiting time in Casualty, been waiting to see a Dr since 10h40 this morning. Current time 14h55 Daughter fell, foot and ankle swollen and blue. Still waiting for Dr before xray can be taken
