Beyond Disappointed! Porsche Cape Town

Beyond Disappointed! Today was a special day for my father, having worked so hard for his keep over many years to finally, on his 50th birthday year, spoil himself with a Porsche Targa that ended in a nightmare.

Porsche had confirmed that after 2-3 weeks of 'detailing' the car that he had purchased and after ensuring all imperfections had been addressed prior to my father booking a flight to Cape Town to pick up his vehicle. On arrival we instantly / without even looking hard enough noticed more than a few scratches, blemishes from polishing on the car and a poor attempt of cleaning the vehicle to the showroom quality we've thought to expect from Porsche.

My father was so upset to the point that he did not want to accept this vehicle from Porsche on a matter of principle. Having been misled that Porsche ensures a quality product (even on pre-owned vehicles) and customer service above and beyond any other. When purchasing a vehicle of this level, one expects to have the trust in the brand and some high standard of quality.

Unfortunately for Porsche there should be no such term as 'dropping the ball' - ***** should be dropped prior to anyone working at Porsche. Porsche should demand a level of customer service, exhaustive checking procedures, quality and 'maybe just give their cars a wipe down' before handing a pre-owned or new vehicle over to a new owner.

We were offered free add ons to 'soften the blow' - when all we wanted was what we paid for, at the time we were told to expect it and for it to be in the conditions we were told to expect it in. Simple.

We are yet to receive an apology email, sms, whatsapp or anything from the service providers at Porsche Centre, Cape Town.
