Disgraceful Company

Pop-up Cinema, a Cape Town based company took it upon themselves to post false information about a client of theirs online, due to the fact that they regarded said client as competition and the psycho owner has plenty marbles loose.

They took an image off a LinkedIn profile of a man based in the Netherlands, accused their client of fronting as an agent and operating under various names (which was mentioned in their Facebook post).

Posted on their wall, for their entire community and more to see, they felt this to be appropriate and justified.

When presented with information about them being in the wrong and a link to the person's profile picture they used and tried to pass off as their client, they then proceeded to remove their post - however, damage to not just the reputation but company of the man was done. Mind you, Miss Julia, Director of Pop-up posted the man's personal information online (his full name, contact number and e-mail address).

It has been said that Pop-up were to supply equipment to the person they publicly shamed for an outdoor event and a contract was signed between both parties.

Pop-up first denied ever hearing of their client, then when Miss Julia was told proof of the contract is there, she then claimed the contract no longer exists.

She didn't stop there though, she then claimed (mentioned in their post) that her client has ****** information from their database (according to her he's a hacker), then went to her clients to organise events with her clients. Further to this, she claimed the person who built the website for said victim does not exist, the victim himself did it.

Miss Julia went one step further by contacting the victims clients, resulting in him losing his clients for events scheduled due to what she had done and said.

Unprofessional and psycho are only but a few words that come to mind for this company. They should be ashamed! When asked whether they will make a public apology to the victim, they blocked me from their page. Well, Pop-up, your clients too will know how wrong you really were.
