NEVER AGAIN

I am writing this 5 months after we installed a pool. I initially found Pooltopia and was fooled by the reviews on Hello Peter.

The purpose of this review is to hopefully save someone the troubles I have experienced over the past 5 months. Please use another pool supplier to install your pool would be my advice.

So my experienced started with us me finding Pooltopia on Hellopeter and thinking the reviews are good, so lets call. I spoke to Chris and he came out and quoted. The process of installation went according to plan and they were done in a week or so. (small pool).

He does put on his quote that if there is a hard dig (clay) would be extra costs, but I wrongly had assumed he would let me know before he incurred an extra charge. This said though when presented with this cost I didnt debate it as I wouldnt have had a choice anyway, but normally you would expect the communication upfront.

After installed I became aware of a small hairline crack in the pool. Chris referred to to his supplier and I this battle has been going on for months now. The supplier is Pools for Africa in this case.

They came out and initially told me the blue they can patch with will not match 100% to which me as an unhappy customer told them to rather remove and replace the whole pool then. Eventually though they came up with a suggestion to blend the patch to match the pool - this was done, but they left all sorts of debris in the pool (cloths etc which got jammed into my Kreepy) - Like I said was a small pool so got to be blind not to see this.

After a few days though this patch went a brown colour and I called again. They again sent a team to buff the pool and this was fine for a few days but again went brown.

I then called Chris and told him of this pending review on Hello Peter. This was on the 3rd December 2019 and Chris rep**** the following "Pooltopia relies heavily on its reputation. I will contact Pools for Africa again right now. I have been let down by my supplier"

I told Chris that I paid his company for the installation and pool and it is his problem to resolve and deal with the supplier not mine. He asked for the week to resolve.

I had to of course call Pools for Africa myself and they said would come on Saturday to fix. I waited at home and no-one came.

This morning hence me writing this review.

Chris and his company will NEVER see my business again and although I am just one little insignificant customer to him I certainly HOPE this review will HELP someone else.
