My name is Thembisile Ngcongo the father of my on is serving his sentence at westiville correctional service. He was sentenced on the 14th of November 2017.

From day one when I called to make a booking so I can visit him, the person who picked up the call did not bother to provide his name. He was so rude and demanded the prison number, room number even after I explained to him that I don't have all of those details since he was a new prisoner.

Today I called from 10 o'clock in the morning till now noone boreded to take my call. I called 3 different numbers with no success, I'm aware that the father of my child broke the law and he must be punished but the treatment we receive from the wardens is uncalled for. If you are lucky and you manage to make a booking the minute you arrive at the gate the treatment you get from the wardens inside the white containers leaves tears in your eyes, after you've entered the bus and you are dropped at your destination the warden who takes the receipt that day will give you hell.

What is worse is the fact that we are required to make booking ony on Mondays, Tuesday and Wednesdays only. So since none picked up my call today I have to beg for leave at work again so I can try and see him next week and that is if I will be lucky by then.

As much as we are aware we are visiting ********* in prison I don't think we should be treated as if we are also *********, I'm very disappointed by this act.
