DEAD LOSS POOL REPAIR TEAM

On 26th April 2018 we employed the services of a Mr Deon Taljaart, whose name we got from the local Boksburg newspaper, to do pool renovations on our pool. A price was agreed apon of which he wanted 50% deposit,

Now I realise that he was not expected to do the work himself but he would arrive at the job around 9am, drop his labourers (2) off and dissappear till later on in the afternoon. Half way through the job he asked for another 25% of the price which we duly gave him.

Up to now everything was fine if not a little slow and he finished the job and collected the final payment. We filled the pool and realised that it was taking a long time to fill up. We stopped filling the pool and actually watched the level dropping. Phoned Deon and informed him about the leak and was told that he could do nothing about it until the pool stopped leaking so he could see where the leak was. Needless to say it did not stop as there was a huge crack in the bottom of the pool. Once again the same story, arrive at the house between 9 and 10, drop his labourer now only one, and collect him again in the afternoon. he now suggested that we change the light as well as the aimflow return, more money but we agreed. Filled the pool again, another 60,000 litres of water and were getting ready to enjoy some good swimming time when the weather changed but hell were we to be disappointed. The pool cleaner was very sluggish and it was found that the weir was leaking. More money to change the weir but that was just the start of further problems. Filled the pool again and once again, total incompetance fron the Repair Team, the pool was still leaking, this time from a crack about 400mm long around the newly installed weir. To date, the 1ST October, after over a month of trying to get Deon to come and finnish the repairs we are now seriously thinking of taking legal measures agains Deon. I see that when we phone him his profile states that he is the site manager of DC Pools. I urge all of your readers to seriously consider never using this totally incompetant Repair Team
