I Have always heard of construction companies being taken for money, friends being dealt a bad deal with a contractor but this guy Ben Blignaut, He took the f-king cake.

As a construction company owner, we have been put in the position where we try to rebuild the tarnished reputation of our industry (Ben tarnished means "Deur jou gat trek")

We were fortunate as a company in the stressful economic times to have a client that wanted to build a new property located east of Pretoria.

Mnr Ben Blignaut and partner Tienie Blignaut offered us with a quote to rebuild the existing pool. (R156000) . Ben is a presentable amicable man, with no values and no ethic. Ben and his team with broken tools layed 700 bricks in 7 weeks. "We are finishing another site in Nelspruit, we are low on cash, our bakkie is broken, I am sick" I should have seen the writing on the wall, but my faith in the loyal white Afrikaans man was to strong. Pity!!!!! Shame on me!!!!!

After numerous phone calls, continious nagging and after paying R90000 deposit and R47000 on the second draw I was left with a unfinished pool, unfinished jacuzzi, no pumps, no heater, no fiberglass and no paving.

Bens excuse finally was that he has used all our money for the work he was preforming in nelspruit. The cheeck.

Unfortunatly after I paid all the monies, I only saw your bad name represented every where. Poollink ********, poollink ******.

It further cost me R90000 to complete the pool. Mr Ben I will see you in court....
