Possible heart attack not an emergency according to POLMED

On Monday 2023-12-18 at about 01:00 I rushed my husband to Eugene Marais hospital with a suspected heart attack. He was admitted to the ER or Med 24, or whatever their emergency department is called. A series of test was performed on him which was repeated after an hour. Now part of the x-ray account is not paid and the emergency department's account is also not paid because my day to day funds were depleted. POLMED doesn't deem a suspected heart attack in a man who has proven heart problems as an emergency. I am told I should have gotten "pre authorisation" at 01:00 on a Monday morning. When told they were not open to get the pre authorisation and that he was not admitted TO the hospital they fall back on my day to day funds were depleted. So next time I will tell my husband to wait until we have new day to day benefits before having a heart attack.
