PMB's still never paid months later
I was injured end of October 2015, at the time of release all my medical providers submitted invoices to Polmed. Most of the bills took months to pay and even now in Jan2016 certain bills are unpaid and no clear sign or date of payment was given, I think the keeping update on payments system needs improvement (Somehow an online interface would be easy and would reduce call volumes on call centers). The slow process on payment and surety of payment interferes with further treatment I am or any other client is to obtain from the doctors. The complaint is really to attempt to speed up the claims and payment process or somehow provide surety of payment so that medical providers can provide their service knowing of payments that are going to be received instead of constantly changing up surgery dates because they awaiting payments.

In my case I am possibly unable to attend a surgery next week because my medical service providers have not yet received payment. We have contacted the medical aid on a few occasions to explain yet nothing comes to fruition. According to medical providers the next step is the Council of Medical schemes regarding unpaid PMB surgeries. Is there enough time?
