Pathetic Service

My wife had a procedure done on her knee, which was on 2021.09.20. At first i had to struggle to get the authorisation number and only received it late on the 17th. I received an sms that this authorisation number have a co-payment of R2000. My wife contacted Polmed to find out what the co-payment was for as we never had to make payments in the past. She was informed that it was because the procedure could be done in the doctor's rooms or they can make an alternative booking at a different facility. Tell me how can you do an operation which is very invasive in a doctor's room. Today 2021.10.06 i went to Polmed's offices in Port Elizabeth to submit a claim for this co-payment and was informed that it is non refundable as the procedure was not done at a day hospital. Upon enquiring i was told that the procedure was supposed to be done at Greenacres. Maybe i am being stupid here but the last time i checked Polmed members had to make a R8000 Co-payment if they had any procedure done at Greenacres hospital, now i am being told that we can make use of this hospital without a co-payment. My wife was also told that the co-payment was also because we are making use of the Life Group. Please please tell me Polmed why did your service become so pathetic, this use to be the best medical aid, now you are the worst. We as members are paying thousands of rands for a decent medical aid just to get this kind of service. I am really disgusted in the service that Polmed members are getting, R2000 may seem like a little bit of money to you, but i can do a lot with it. So i am requesting that i be contacted regarding this matter.
