Price gouging

On the 10th of May i went to Valley View PNA to purchase my daughter a 48 piece mer**** jigsaw puzzle for her 5th birthday, When i got home and pulled off the R190 price to wrap the puzzle there was the original price underneath it for R75.. I couldnt return the product as it was meant to be a present for my daughters birthday the following day. How is that for price gouging?
