Geyser installation non-compliance?!
I was quoted telephonically for a burst geyser replacement (R6500). This amount matched their online advertised amount, so I gave the go-ahead. The team arrived 2 hours late without a ladder and I had to help them get the old geyser out. They didn't supply pipe insulation, nor a drip tray (luckily I had one that they used).
When they eventually finished, I requested a CoC (certificate of compliance) and was told that the quoted price excludes a CoC, which would attract an additional charge of R650. Complete rip-off - what proof do I have that the installation is compliant?
I contacted IOPSA to complain and all they said is that they don't govern the prices charged by their members.
