Property owners, beware !!!!

I needed an Electrical Compliance Certificate done for transferring purposes. My daughter queried the invoice after she realized that I had been grossly overcharged. Plumbing & LPS Gas Services (Pty) Ltd completely ignored requests for explanations as to how they got to these crazy amounts. The buyer of my property subsequently admitted to me, that he was aware that this company over charges their clients! I also did not live at the property, or anywhere nearby, so it would seem they took full advantage of the situation. I was charged R1,450 for ‘fit and supply of a kitchen tap’. You can get a basic kitchen mixer for R305 from Takealot. I was charged R1,250 for ‘fit and supply of a shower hose’. I’ve seen these hoses for R79 upwards. And then they charged me R550 for washers. Not only do all taps come standard with their own washers, but one can pick up a washer for as little as R7. So why charge me R550 for washers? Surely they need to replace with the same standard as what was there before? My property was a basic apartment, with no fancy fixtures whatsoever.
