Think twice before using Plumbing Kings for a solar conversion

So, I started this journey to get our geyser converted to Solar in order to adhere to the new City of Cape Town rules. Anyway, quote started off with R12999. Plumbers arrived, did the installation, included in the installation is this geserwise dashboard / device that gives you the power to control when to tap into the grid and when to use solar to heat the water. First of all, they kept on tripping the power when they installed the conversation and the control box, arguing that it is not them tripping the power. Very very junior plumbers. Took forever to convince them that it was them. Done the installation but the temperature stetting displaying on the dashboard was low 20s to 30s (degrees Celsius(, but when you open the tap, water was heated. Their excuse, it will come right. Anyway, I accepted that but then got an invoice of over R18k. I was like, uhmm, really, you quoted R12999. Long story short, they apparently installed a pump and all sorts of piping that they didn't bother to discuss with me. I paid that, with a slight discount (and already being quite annoyed since now I can not use the geyserwise dashboard cause it reports the temperature completely wrong).

2 weeks went past more or less and then suddenly no more heat from the water from the grid. In other words, I can not use the grid to heat the water on cloudy days. Phoned them, they came out, replaced the element, went home, next day, STILL no heat from the grid. Came back, now excuse was replace the Thermostat. They did that, spent about 2 hours in the roof replacing the "thermostat". Charged me R2k for this service, but a new guy was involved, lots of noises and discussions (obviously the previous dude stuffed up hence the reason for the hours in the roof to sort out the thermostat). I get a bill of just under R2k but suddenly the geserwise is now reporting everything correctly, system is working, I am happy (apart from the fact that I had to pay for another element and thermostat that they replaced when they did the original installation and that was 2 weeks ago ).

System ran well for about 4 weeks after that and then same thing, cant get the geyser to warm up with electricity. They came out after I reported it, 2 days later only - so family is ecstatic to shower in cold water. They even wanted to postpone that to the following day, no urgency and no pride in their work. So eventually they pitch up after I warned them that load shedding will kick in at 16:00 that day. They arrive late, about an hour before load shedding. Disconnect the geserwise, bypass the whole system, loadshedding kicks in, now i sit with a solution that I have no visibility on and they are not coming back (i do have warm water now but no way to utlise the system that I paid R20k for). Ruth, their main sales person is ignoring me, not responding to any calls and I have to get another company to come sort out their **** now. My recommendation is to stay VERY FAR away from this type of service.
