DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS AND INDIVIDUAL

I own a house in Ladismith, Western Cape which is rented out by a managing agent. On the 24 July 2024 the agent reported that the geyser was leaking through the ceiling and forwarded a quotation from their maintenance man. Unfortunately, this man was unable to issue a CoC certificate which was a requirement of the insurance company.

On the 29 July 2024 the agents then obtained a quote and invoice from Pieter Thiart of Plumbco maintenance and plumbing. The initial invoice from Plumbco was for call out fee, CoC certificate and report on old geyser and amounted to R2600 which was paid directly to him by the agents. On the 30 July 2024 the agents forwarded a invoice from Plumbco in the amount of R11 150 which was immediately settled in full by myself on the understanding that the geyser installation would be completed by Friday 2 August 2024.

On the 1 August 2024 Pieter Thiart reported that his wife was ill from asthma and that he would not be able to install the geyser the following day....this was the start of numerous mails and calls and untold amount of excuses and outright lies. First his wife was in hospital in Cape Town so he could not continue, then the geyser was at his workshop in Riversdale and two weeks later (15 August 2024) stated that he would have the geyser dropped off at the agents office and he would arrange for someone else to install...shortly thereafter this character reported that the geyser had been sent by courier and had been delivered to Ladysmith in Natal and not Ladismith in Western Cape...he promised to have this rectified and to have the geyser sent by overnight courier to Ladismith.

Needless to say another two weeks have passed and the geyser is still on its way!!! When I approached him for the details of the courier company which would enable me to track the geyser his response was that he had it in hand and that it was not my responsibility....

After more than a month of communication with this character I have no doubt that he is a absolute ****** who thinks he is dealing with *****s...he is unprofessional and has no integrity or morals. I will be laying a charge of ***** against this character and will pursue every avenue to ensure that others are not conned going forward.
