Playmobil, the plastic toy that isn't a four letter word

Dare I start a Playmobil vs Lego debate? I loved Playmobil as a child, and now I’m loving how much joy my 5 year old gets from her Playmobil. (Confession: I actually buy it for myself). What I love about Playmobil is that it’s simple to put together, the pieces click in a satisfying way, and most importantly, most of them are NOT TOO SMALL (unlike a certain other brand of plastic construction toy). The other day, I gave my child a police helicopter (I love helicopters thanks to Airwolf) and we had loads of fun putting it together and then chasing imaginery *********. Importantly, she gets to play with it without my having to freak out about where all the pieces have gone which is a #WIN. Yes, there have been some casualties – a hat here, a tiny plastic gun there – but on the whole, it’s manageable. Thank you Playmobil for not driving me up the wall.
